Bell-tent Camping at
Little Oak Farm
West Dorset
Add Your Title
There are 6 bell-tents - 3 x 4 meter wide ones which sleep 4 people comfortably or 5 at a bit of a squeeze, and 3 x 3 meter wide ones which sleep 2 or 3 at a squeeze. Each tent comes with 2, 3, 4 or 5 futon mattresses depending on how many you need.
You need to bring everything else - bedding, towels, cooking things etc.
The campsite is only open from the end of July to the end of August. Mondays and Fridays are the coming and going days - so you can have a long weekend, or a mid-week break, or both.
There are 3 x 4meter wide tents which sleep 4 people comfortably or 5-6 people at a squash. And 3 x 3meter wide tents which sleep 2 people or 3 at a squash.
Each tents has a couple of rugs on top of the ground sheet, and futon mattresses on top of foil backed campermats. The futons have cotton covers on them, to protect them, but you do need to bring all your own bedding including a bottom sheet. I just don't have the facilities to wash all the covers in between each set of guests.
There are 2 ways you can book - through Airbnb or by contacting me directly - contact info at the top of the page.
These are my prices and they are for the whole tent regardless of how many are people are in it.

4 meter tent, mon-fri (4 nights) or fri-mon (3 nights) - £240
Doing it like this just keeps it simple.
For Airbnb, go to their site and put 'Wootton Fitzpaine, Bridport' into the 'Where' box. On the map, by Wootton Fitzpaine you'll see a cluster of 6 points which are the 6 separate listings , 1 for each tent. Make sure you're on a listing for the tent size you want.
Camping made easier. Bell tents all ready. Just dump your bags and pour yourself a cold drink after your journey.
Located just 2 miles from Charmouth beach and the Jurassic coast, and surrounded by hills and woods, there's loads to do in the area or just relax by your tent with a good book. And at the end there's no stress of having to pack away the tent. Children and dogs welcome.
Stays are from Monday to Friday, or Friday to Monday.
You can bring your kids and dogs, have camp fires, enjoy the amazing views by day and the stars by night.
Things to note:-
There may be sheep at the bottom of the same field that the tents are in. They may be fenced in with an electric fence. So if your dog is very 'interested' in sheep this might not be the camp site for you.
The toilets are compost toilets. (they don't smell)
There is currently no electricity at the camp site. Which means there's no lights (bring torches), no phone charging (use your car or ask me to do it, or just let your phone go flat!), no refrigeration (put your milk round the back of the tent in the shade).
It also means that its peaceful and chilled out.
In the barn near the bottom of the field there a 'shop' (tables amongst the hay bales) where firewood, charcoal (local), apple juice, elderflower champagne, and various other farm produce is available to buy. There's an honesty box so its always open.
All the water on site is mains water.
