Wild Garlic Pesto

Garlic-y,  Green and  Gorgeous

Wild garlic pesto is made from the leaves of wild garlic which I collect from the local woods in the spring. It is full of flavour and makes a delicious green paste which you can have with cheese and crackers, use as a dip with veg and bread sticks, use to liven up sandwiches, add to pasta or rice, mix into things like fish cakes and burgers - the list goes on. 

The other ingredients are:-  spinach, toasted sunflower seeds, red onions, mustard, honey, olive and sunflower oils, lemon juice, salt and pepper. So it is suitable for vegetarians and possibly vegans if they don't mind honey?, and for people with nut and dairy allergies. 

It is available in 100ml jars, or 500g,  or 1kg tubs for weddings and parties. 

From mid March to May it may be available fresh. At other times it will be frozen.  Freezing it doesn't alter it at all.
